USF AI/CI Collaborative

Get Involved

Four ways in.

Pick the path that fits. Each opens a pre-structured email so your submission lands with everything we need to act on it.

01 · Join

Join the lab.

For anyone at USF (student, resident, faculty, staff) who wants to actively participate in TRAIN-A-BULL - journal club, projects, curriculum work, or industry collaborations.

02 · Problems & Ideas

Share a problem or an idea.

Most clinicians don't know what AI could build - but they know exactly what's slowing them down. Tell us about a pain point in your day, and we'll figure out together whether AI can help. If you already have a developed project idea, we use a PICO frame.

Path A · Pain Point

Best for clinical friction you encounter regularly.

  • Where it happens (clinic, EHR step, ward, education)
  • What's slowing you down in plain words
  • Who it affects (clinicians, residents, patients, staff)
  • How often it comes up
  • Why it matters (time, safety, cost, satisfaction)

Path B · PICO (developed idea)

Best when you already know the study question.

P
Population / setting
I
Intervention / AI approach
C
Comparison / current state
O
Outcome / measurable goal

The email template includes both paths - fill in whichever applies (or both), plus your name and USF affiliation.

03 · Industry

For AI companies & startups.

If you build clinical AI and want real-world feedback from clinicians, researchers, and educators, start here. We're particularly interested in tools that touch primary care, medical education, and assessment.

Your email should include

  • Company + one-sentence product description
  • Stage (pre-product / beta / commercial)
  • Healthcare domain (primary care, ambient documentation, decision support, medical education, imaging, assessment...)
  • What you're looking for (clinical evaluation, pilot deployment, co-authored research, curriculum integration, advisory input)
  • Prior validation / current pilot sites
  • Contact (name, role, email)
  • Timelines, key questions, constraints
